TAC scans are an important diagnostic tool for the screening, diagnosis and evaluation of Covid-19 induced pneumonia cases.
Poliambulanza Brescia and SORINT.tek are developing a system for the collecting of CT scans and their automatic annotation to identify areas with injuries associated to the presence of pneumonia. The system can be used for case screening and to evaluate the progression of the disease in patients as it’s is able to provide in a few tens of seconds a quantitative evaluation of the lung area affected by injuries.
